Obituary for Loretta Oakley Litteral

Mrs. Loretta Oakley Litteral, age 70, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord, Sunday evening, June 9, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born December 25, 1948, in Ibex, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Reverend Vernon and Mary Ellen Skaggs Oakley and Audrey Cox.

Loretta was a member of the Carter Christian Holiness Church and had retired from Carter County Board of Education as a custodian at Carter City Elementary School. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and her fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Oakley.

Loretta leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Bobby Litteral; two sons, Louie Litteral (Becky) of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Gerald Litteral (Amy) of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter, Bobbie Ann Litteral (Donnie Parker) of Carter, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kelly Litteral, Katie Litteral, Madison Stone and Avery Stone; and one cousin she thought of as a brother, Ike Oakley. She will be missed by several friends and family who will mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at Carter Christian Holiness Church in Carter, Kentucky with Brother Bill Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Tabor Cemetery on in Carter County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 and after 9 a.m. Friday, at the Carter Christian Holiness Church, 141 1State Highway 474, Carter, Kentucky.

Scott Fultz, Mason Oakley, Avery Stone, Donnie Parker, Gavin Porter and Dwight Oakley will serve as pallbearers.

Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky will be caring for all arrangements for Loretta Oakley Litteral.
