Obituary for Frances Kay Prichard Lawhorn

Mrs. Frances Kay Prichard Lawhorn, age 70, of Grahn, Kentucky, passed away Friday morning, May 25, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born October 28, 1947, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George Delbert “Bill” and Minnie Suttles Prichard.

Frances worked until her retirement at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky, and enjoyed watching T.V., gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Valerie Stevens, and one sister, Sheila Jessie.

Frances is survived by her husband of 51 years, Glenn Lawhorn; three daughters, Annette Holbrook (Eddie) of Grahn, Kentucky, Barbara Cordle (Tony) of Hitchins, Kentucky, and Debra Lawhorn (Brandon Davis) of Ashland, Kentucky; one son-in-law, Mickey Stevens of Morehead, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; five brothers, Putch Prichard (Dorcus) of Indiana, Eugene Prichard (Sue) of Grayson, Kentucky, Terry Prichard of Kentucky, Ricky Prichard (Antha) of Elliott County, Kentucky, and Jeff Prichard (Kelly) of Tennessee; and five sisters, Kathy Cordova of Tennessee, Pamela Prichard of Kentucky, Teresa Binion, Sandra Jackson, and Ottie McDowell, all of Grayson, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Tommy Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup County, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
