Obituary for Eva Maxine Leadingham Blankenbeckler

Mrs. Eva Maxine Leadingham Blankenbeckler, age 86, of Commerce Township, Michigan, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Henry Ford Medical Center in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

She was born January 1, 1933, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Everett and Mary Ethel Boggs Leadingham.

Eva was of the Baptist faith and worked for General Motors for 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Willie Blankenbeckler; four brothers, Columbus Leadingham, Lee Leadingham, Arvin Leadingham and Vernon Leadingham; and four sisters, Olie Blankenbeckler, Nadine Bowling, Pearline Pennington and Floris Jones.

Eva is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Christine Blankenbeckler of Commerce Township, Michigan; two special nieces, Teresa Horstmann of Commerce Township, Michigan, and Jenny Achenbach of Walled Lake, Michigan; and one special nephew, Shawn Jones of Commerce Township, Michigan. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Lester Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson & Skaggs Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
