Obituary for Eldon Roosevelt Littleton Sr.

Mr. Eldon Roosevelt Littleton Sr., age 80, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at The Pavilion at Piketon in Piketon, Ohio.

He was born April 14, 1938, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Raymond Littleton and Helen Ison James.

Eldon worked as a bus driver for Northeast, Batesville Casket Company in Batesville, Indiana, and as a Night Watchman for Erwin-Kiser Oil Company in Olive Hill, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with his dog, Chico.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Dawn Littleton, and one brother, Jack Wesley Nolen.

Eldon is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet Smallwood Littleton; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Eldon Roosevelt Littleton Jr. and David and Betty Mounce, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Shelby and Pauline Mounce of Clarksburg, Indiana; one daughter, Tammy Vandyun of Shelbyville, Indiana; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Delma Nolen of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Kippy and Dana James of Grayson, Kentucky; and one sister and brother-in-law, Libby and Reverend Tracy Fannin of Morehead, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Reverend Tracy Fannin officiating. Burial will follow in the Ison Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
