Obituary for Douglas Anthony "Tony" Wills

Mr. Douglas Anthony “Tony” Wills, age 59, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 31, 2019, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

He was born April 28, 1960, in Mason County, Kentucky, a son of June Fearis Wills and the late Dwight Douglas Wills.

Tony proudly served his country in the United States Army and was of the Christian faith. He was employed by Brown & Root for 23 years of service at International Papers and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, taking care of his roosters and chickens and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Chris Helphenstine.

In addition to his mother, Tony is survived by his wife of 13 years, Donna Kegley Wills; two daughters, Julie Wills Helphenstine of Vanceburg, Kentucky, and Tonya Wills of Tollesboro, Kentucky; one step son, Hunter Kegley of New York; two step daughters, Hope Earlywine of Tollesboro, Kentucky, and Julie Greer of Vanceburg, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Bryson Helphenstine, Aubrey Highfield, Lilian Denney, Samuel Denney, Ella Denney, Trent Brown, Gracie Cushard, and Willow Earlywine; three brothers, Brian Wills and Kevin Wills of Crooked Creek, Kentucky, and Jason Stamper of Maysville, Kentucky; three sisters, Pam Denton of Cabin Creek, Kentucky, Tammy Johnson (Matt) of Missouri, and Lee Ann Parker (Travis) of Vanceburg, Kentucky; his father-in-law, Mont Kegley of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Kendall Kegley (Amy) and Dwayne Kegley, all of Vanceburg, Kentucky; and two sisters-in-law, Candy Noble (Art) and Danita Applegate (Keith), all of Tollesboro, Kentucky. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends who will dearly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Tollesboro Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Jamie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the East Fork Cemetery in Tollesboro, Kentucky, with full military honors presented by the Monte Lewis Stamm Post # 5438.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Tollesboro Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky 41189.

Brian Wills, Kevin Wills, Hunter Kegley, Kendall Kegley, Tommy Truesdell, Karl Gerike, Bubby Tully, Gary Fearis will serve as pallbearers. Bryson Helphenstine and Bobby Nash will serve as honorary pallbearers.
