Obituary for Bradley "Vernon" Duncan

Mr. Bradley “Vernon” Duncan, age 81, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, October 7, 2018, his residence.

He was born September 2, 1937, in Grahn, Kentucky, a son of the late Cecil and Lorrine Bryant Duncan.

Vernon was of the Christian faith and he enjoyed woodworking, making crafts with wood and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathan Layne; one great grandson, Jayden Miller; and one sister, Cathy Stephenson.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 48 years, Connie Rodkey Duncan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Duncan Barker and Patrick of Grayson, Kentucky, and Patricia Duncan Tomlin and George of Olive Hill, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; six brothers and five sisters-in-law, Stevie Duncan and Leasha, Howard Duncan and Ella, Dillard Duncan and Barb, all of Grahn, Kentucky, Oather Duncan and Linda of Grayson, Kentucky, Carmel Duncan of Mansfield, Ohio, and Carlos Duncan and Diane of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bonnie Mabry of Grahn, Kentucky, Ruth King and Steve of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Martha Jean Carroll and Arlene Bishop and Bob, all of Grayson, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2018, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Tracy Kenny officiating. Burial will follow in the Roar Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018, and after 9 a.m. on Friday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Jon-Erik Wagoner, Christian Galvin, Michael Fitchpatrick, Anthony Ruff, Adam Moore, Luke Sparks, Robbie Roar, and George Tomlin will serve as pallbearers.
