Our History
Globe Funeral Chapel was established in September, 1979 by Gene Hamm, William C. Lane, John Back, Hubert Tackett and associate Woodrow “Papaw” Gilliam. Their goal was to serve 15 to 20 families per year.
In 1998 William Waddell became the sole owner of the funeral home and since then the facility has undergone extensive remodeling and upgrading.
The funeral home now has two beautiful chapels, the large one with church pews that can seat approximately 150 visitors and a smaller chapel that has seating for 120 people. The building also has a spacious family room with comfortable lounges which were designed so that families may relax and visit with neighbors and friends during a difficult time.
