Obituary for Betty Agnes Carver Stafford

Mrs. Betty Agnes Carver Stafford, age 87, of Vanceburg, Kentucky, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 30, 2017, at her residence.

She was born February 17, 1930, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Lester Thomas and Dama Bryant Carver.

Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vanceburg and she enjoyed quilting, fishing, shopping, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert Lee Stafford; one daughter, Peggy Ann Stafford Davidson; one grandson, B.J. Davidson; three brothers, Lovell Bud Carver, John Carver and David Carver; and one sister, Irene Miracle.

Betty is survived by one son, Robert Lee Stafford Jr. of Vanceburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Donna Johnson (Herb) of Vanceburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary Miller of Mount Gilead, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memory Gardens in Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
